How to Connect Your New Ford with Amazon Alexa

By doing this, you can achieve voice-activated commands and personalize them to your liking. But how do you do that?

There are four steps to connecting your Ford vehicle to Amazon Alexa:

Step 1: Activate FordPass Connect
  • Download the FordPass or the Lincoln Way App and set up an account.
  • Turn off the vehicle and select “Add Vehicle” on the app.
  • Type or scan in VIN on the app.
  • Name and activate the vehicle on the app.
  • Start on your vehicle and top “Allow” on the screen.
  • Accept terms and conditions.
Step 2: Set Up Alexa
  • Tap the Alexa icon on the SYNC 4 screen.
  • Either scan the QR code or go to Amazon.com/code.
  • Sign into your Amazon account.
  • Sync your vehicle and your Amazon account by typing in the code on your vehicle’s screen.
Step 3: Finalize the Setup
  • Follow any additional steps on the screen to finish registering Alexa to your Ford.
Step 4: Enable Alexa
  • Complete the setup by choosing “Yes” to activate the Alexa wake word functionality.
